Growing up in France, Anne-Claire discovered her passion for design early on, initially inspired by her mum’s taste for interior decoration. After studying Industrial Design in France, she moved to Edinburgh, Scotland to study a Bachelor of Arts at ECA, and graduated with honours majoring in Furniture. Anne-Claire later moved to Australia and settled in Adelaide to join the Jamfactory Furniture associates program, where she collaborated with fellow creatives on a range of projects. She then relocated to Melbourne, where she gained valuable experience and knowledge while working in the furniture, architecture and interior design space for several years.
Anaca Studio was established in 2012 with just one side table. Since then many new furniture pieces were added to the collection, each item crafted with the same attention to detail as that first table.
The name Anaca is based on a whimsical word play for the French phrase “Anne n’a qu’a”, meaning “Anne only has to...”
